Communication Facilities
Telephone Service:
Telephone and fax services are widely available in all tourist centres. The country code for Nepal is 977 and the area code for Kathmandu is 1.

Internet Services:
Numerous internet cafes and communication centers can be found in the Kathmandu Valley and around the country even in remote places such as Namche Bazar. Many cafes also offer wireless services, and visitors only have to find a place they are most comfortable in to use the facilities to keep in touch with home. E-mail and Internet services are also offered by hotels.

Media:
There are two major English daily newspapers, The Kathmandu Post and The Himalayan Times. A number of other newspapers such as the International Herald Tribune and international magazines are also available.

Electricity:
Major towns have electricity and the voltage available is 220-volts and 50 cycles. Load shedding (power cuts) is a common occurrence. However, most major hotels have installed their own generators.

Testimonials

We really enjoyed trekking to Gokyo Lake with Exodus crew members. Your guides are very friendly and good sense of humour. I loved the folk songs and the way they played madol. What a fantastic trip it was! I would recommend Exodus to all my friends.
