| What is a Tea-House Trekking? |
|
There is quite a difference between camp trekking and teahouse trekking. The name "teahouse treks" itself tells it all. Unlike camping treks, you will not be carrying tents and foods with you, instead, you will be eating out in the tea houses that are specially made for tourists and keeping in mind the limited choice of foods. Most of the "teahouses" are not just built for eating, but, also to enjoy the views of the mountains and rivers. You can enjoy your food and rest your eyes and heart on those alluring sights of nature. This type of trekking has its limitations, in the sense that you will have to keep the main trail and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. A good thing about a teahouse trek is that, unlike camp treks, you will be staying at the lodge and you will get the facilities such as toilets, hot water bath, hot water-bags etc. You will be led by an experienced English-speaking guide. We also provide you porters who will carry your luggage throughout the trek. However, personal items such as toilet paper, water and sundry which you use quite often will have to be carried with you. |
